Besides two test sails, in both windy and light weather, the PBO reporter also crewed in the Round the Island race, when we won our class by over an hour (over 50 multihulls entered) and his conclusion was "Eclipse makes you realise the value of a designer's practical, hands on experience. Everything works....Whatever your inclinations it's hard to deny the practicality of the Eclipse for long distance sailing. Or even for a quick whizz round the Isle of Wight"
