Mira comes in two basic options. A round bilge hull similar to Scylla and Banshee, and the original deep V hull as shown here. Both hull versions share similar interior layouts, rig and deck

The deep V hull can be built in sheet ply, or with flat panel grp hulls as shown here.

The keel joint has been glassed, but the joint still has to be faired and painted. After turning over the gunwale joint also has to be glassed. The rest of the hull is a smooth surface and so should be ready to paint without any preparation

It is a very similar build to the Windsong and Surfsong, so please check the "Building Photo" pages of those boats for more details

Compare this photo with the smaller Windsong. The Mira is a big boat! Note also the "wing" on the inner hull sides which adds a huge amount of stowage and acts as cockpit seats on deck

The finished hull is narrow enough to be road legal. But maybe the police wouldn't take kindly to the packing crates!

Mira can use bolt together beams, as above, or they can be glued in place, as below

This is a plywood Mira, built on a small island off Germany and later sailed round the world, the first Woods Designs to do so.
